SEO Without The (Unnecessary) Gibberish

If you’ve ever been puzzled by “SEO,” or getting your site to rank higher in search results, you’re not alone. A lot of people think of SEO as a “black art,” “witchcraft,” or even “sorcery.”

The truth is, SEO doesn’t have to be so complicated.

The search engines (such as Google) have criteria they use to determine whether your site comes-up number one in search results, or are buried somewhere on the 15th page.

In the case of Google, there are around 200 of those “signals” (or, criteria) they measure to determine your rank.

Those signals belong to one of two types — what we refer-to as “Technical SEO” and “On-Page SEO.”

Technical SEO

“Technical SEO” are those signals that are more technical in nature… Is your site secure & encrypted? Is it responsive across multiple device types & sizes? Does it have a hidden “SiteMap” the search engines can follow in order to index your content? Is your content optimized to load quickly?

On-Page SEO

“On-Page SEO” addresses those signals the search engines receive within the pages of your web site. Those include things like header tags, linking tactics, and most importantly… Compelling, relevant content (copy-writing).

Ongoing SEO Work

There are a lot of factors that go into deciding how much (if any) ongoing SEO work your site needs. Never forget that if you’re in an extremely competitive industry, in a competitive market, your competitors are always upping their SEO game, too.

If you’re looking to improve your search engine ranking, we can perform a complete SEO audit, to determine where your site’s lacking with respect to your competition. And best of all, the cost of that audit is credit back towards the SEO work you decide to have us perform,
